Returns for Leukemia, Lets head to the Beer Store.

Returns For Leukemia is a fundraiser held each May by United Food & Commercial Workers Local 12R24 in partnership with The Beer Store to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada
On the weekend of May 28th and 29th, customers of The Beer store are asked to participate in a bottle drive for leukemia.  Bring your bottles into The Beer Store that weekend, and they will donate 100% of the proceeds to The Leuk...

Weekend to End Women's Cancer

I have to say, I go through life a pretty positive person.  I see the best in people, even if they are not (thats not always a good thing), but there are always moments in my life when I stop and realize how lucky I am.

Let me explain. Over the last couple of years I have made a few trips to the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.  The first couple of times were for recognition events for participants in "The Weekend To End Women's Cancers".  What an amazing place, full of amazing people...

MS Walk Brampton

So proud of  my friends "The Faye's", for the terrific work they do for MS.  I joined them this year on the walk to take pictures...there was a little snow and wind, but we had a great time.

Their team "The Amigos" raised over $3000 for MS, they rock!

Just started this website and blog, so let me tell you a little about myself.  I have been organizing events for charities for many years, and really love it.  My first events were arranged for a women's shelter in Nashville Tennessee.  They were great events, and I helped with many.  Everything from golf tournaments to huge Christmas Galas.  On the side I also created a cookbook for the shelter to help raise money.  I still use the cookbook, as it has some great southern recipes, that I can'...
