I Made It To The Men Of Hope Golf Tournament !

Just wanted to update everyone about a great golf tournament I attended last month in Belleville.  I blogged about it last year, and finally participated this year.  I haven't golfed in a while, but I had a great time.

Theo Fleury's 2nd Annual Men Of Hope Golf Tournament

 Oh yes, its that time again to get involved in Theo Fleury's 2nd Annual Men Of Hope Golf Tournament.  This great fundraiser raises awareness and resources to help male survivors of childhood victimization find their voice and build better lives with their families.

These two wonderful organizations  will be supported through this golf tournament.

I really admire all the hard work and dedication of Theo Fleury and Lee Ferrill, to raise awareness and help male survivors of childhood victimization.

This summer on Friday August 12th, 2011 at Trillium Wood Golf Club in Belleville Ontario, they have organized "Theo Fleury's 1st Annual, Men Of Hope Golf Tournament"  and will be supporting two wonderful counselling agencies.....The Sexual Assault Centre of Quinte and District, and The Men's Project

Drew Hildebrand Charity Golf Classic.

  I just love the work Drew Hildebrand Teen Benefit fund does.  They really give back to teens in need, and I think we really need more people like them.  Being a teen is so hard, and they need direction with life. 
I recently blogged about another fundraising event in honour of Drew Hildebrand, a teen, who died as a result of teen violence.  They had an amazing run, walk, skate last month in Oakville, and they did such a great job raising funds and awareness.

Just started this website and blog, so let me tell you a little about myself.  I have been organizing events for charities for many years, and really love it.  My first events were arranged for a women's shelter in Nashville Tennessee.  They were great events, and I helped with many.  Everything from golf tournaments to huge Christmas Galas.  On the side I also created a cookbook for the shelter to help raise money.  I still use the cookbook, as it has some great southern recipes, that I can'...
